Crowded House are set to release their eighth album, Gravity Stairs, on Friday 31 May. The band – which currently comprises bandleader Neil Finn, guitarist Liam Finn, drummer Elroy Finn, bass player Nick Seymour and keyboardist Mitchell Froom – have announced a bunch of Gravity Stairs Australian tour dates.
Crowded House will play half a dozen shows in New Zealand before making it to Perth’s Kings Park & Botanic Garden on Friday 29 November. They’ll return to the Sydney Opera House Forecourt for a couple of shows in early December before travelling on to arenas in Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane. Find all of the dates and ticket links below.
The Gravity Stairs world tour begins in North America in August. “So looking forward to getting amongst our people having practiced in the Northern Hemisphere for a few months,” Neil Finn said in a statement. “The band will be running hot and we can’t wait to sing with you and elevate our collective spirits.”
Gravity Stairs is the second album made by the current iteration of Crowded House. The band’s previous effort, 2021’s Dreamers Are Waiting, followed 11-years of downtime. Finn and co. sold out nearly two-dozen shows across Australia as part of the Dreamers Are Waiting tour in 2022.
Gravity Stairs is preceded by the singles “Oh Hi” and “Teenage Summer.” You can pre-order the album here and pre-save it here.
