Kiwi electronic act BAYNK has just announced his second album, SENESCENCE. In support, the producer will return to Australia for a trio of east coast headline shows in late July. Tickets are on sale now – find all the details below.

Australian listeners latched onto BAYNK’s melodic and occasionally glitchy brand of electronica more than half a dozen years ago. His debut album, 2022’s ADOLESCENCE, included collaborations with local acts Golden Vessel, Cub Sport and Cosmo’s Midnight.

BAYNK shared tracks one and two – “Inches (Prelude)” and “Fool For You” – from SENESCENCE at the start of May. No official release date has been given, but the rest of the album is set to be drip-fed in two song bundles. The Australian tour follows an LA headline show in early July, so it’s fair to assume the full album will available in July.

According to a note on the artist’s social media (and Google Dictionary), the album title refers to “the condition or process of deterioration with age.” BAYNK said “Fool For You” was influenced by thoughts of “how one can be blind and accept all the bad parts of a situation – if the good outweighs the bad enough.”
