UK indie pop band Glass Animals will be back in Australia this November for a run of east coast headline shows. The band, led by vocalist and songwriter Dave Bayley, will perform at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Brisbane’s Riverstage and the Sydney Opera House Forecourt. Details below.

Glass Animals are set to release their fourth album, I Love You So F***ing Much, on Friday 19 July. The album is preceded by the singles “Creatures in Heaven” and “A Tear in Space (Airlock).”

I Love You So F***ing Much is the follow-up to the band’s 2020 album, Dreamland, which gave rise to the international smash hit “Heat Waves.” Along with topping triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2020, “Heat Waves” was ARIA’s number one single of 2021. It’s now 19x platinum accredited.

Glass Animals played a pop-up show at Sydney’s Liberty Hall in May. Their last proper tour of the country was in July 2022 when they performed at the Splendour in the Grass and Spin Off festivals, along with selling out a bunch of headline dates.

“Australia. We love you so f***ing much,” Bayley said in a statement. “When we first came to tour over there, we only had like four songs. So we played them twice. And you forgave us. And then you gave us our first ever Hottest 100 success with ‘Gooey.’

“And then you embraced ‘Heat Waves’ so hard I tattooed the shape of Australia on my arse cheek. It is my only tattoo. I forget it’s there sometimes and it startles me when I get out of my bubble bath. But it makes me [very] happy. And I feel the same announcing this new Australian tour. The same happiness I feel when looking at my arse in the mirror. See you soon.”
