Wollongong festival Yours & Owls is turning ten. The annual multi-day event has been pushed back to 2025 due to headliner availabilities, but they’ve announced a single-day pre-party to tide audiences over. Golden Features and Peking Duk will headline the tenth birthday pre-party, happening at University of Wollongong on Saturday 12 October.

It’s an all-Australian, dance music-oriented lineup that includes Alice Ivy, Anna Lunoe, Ninajirachi, Hellcat Speedracer and Running Touch. Pop singer-songwriter CXLOE rounds out the first artist announcement.

Pre-sale tickets will be available from 8.30 a.m. on Wednesday 10 July, and they’ll set you back $89.95. The official on sale period begins on Thursday 11 July, with first release tickets selling for $99.95 and second release tickets going for $109.95.

US MCs Earl Sweatshirt, Lil Tjay and British songwriter Bakar co-headlined Yours & Owls’ 2023 event. The lineup was vast, encompassing local festival regulars Flight Facilities, Hilltop Hoods, Vera Blue, Chet Faker, Meg Mac and Ocean Alley, overseas visitors Oliver Tree, Descendents, Phony Ppl, Peach Pit, and dozens more.

The festival’s five stages were spread out across the grounds, ovals and laneways of University of Wollongong. It was the first time the event had been held at the campus, after founders Ben Tillman, Adam Smith and Baluun Jones struck a three-year deal with the uni.

Yours & Owls’ tenth birthday pre-party will be happening in the UOW gardens.
