Thom Yorke will perform his first Australian solo shows this October and November. The Radiohead frontperson is bringing what he calls “a new kind of solo show thing” to venues in Melbourne and Sydney, performing “versions of the songs I have written from my recent and not so recent past.”

Yorke will play two shows at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl and two shows in the Sydney Opera House Forecourt. These will be Yorke’s first shows in Australia since Radiohead toured the country in November 2012.

Yorke has recently been leading the Radiohead offshoot, The Smile, releasing the critically acclaimed albums, A Light for Attracting Attention and Wall of Eyes, in 2022 and 2024 respectively. His latest solo album, Anima, came out in 2019. Yorke has also composed the soundtracks to the films Suspiria (2018) and Confidenza (2024).

Radiohead have not released an album since 2016’s A Moon Shaped Pool.
