Perth community radio station RTRFM has curated an all-WA lineup for this year’s WA Day Festival. The free event is happening on Monday 3 June at the Optus Stadium Precinct and Burswood Park, just across the Swan River from central Perth.
Psych-rock outfit POND will headline the all-WA affair. High energy jazz instrumentalists Grievous Bodily Calm are also on the bill, as well as country songwriter Siobhan Cotchin, alt-rock artist Angie Colman, Noongar singer-songwriter Maatakitj, indie pop foursome Joan & the Giants, and more.
If you can’t make it down, the whole concert will be broadcast live on RTRFM, which you can find at 92.1 on the FM band or via the website.
This year’s WA Day Festival kicks off on Sunday 2 June with a day of entertainment headlined by Guy Sebastian. There’s plenty of WA representation on the Sunday lineup too, including former triple j favourites Eskimo Joe, The Waifs and End Of Fashion.
