Melbourne-based musician Phoebe Go will release her debut album, Marmalade, this May. Phoebe Go is the solo project of former Snakadaktal and Two People frontperson, Phoebe Lou, who’s been working towards this release for the last couple of years.
Phoebe Go’s debut EP, Player, came out in 2022, showcasing a more stripped-back and downtempo sound than the artist’s previous projects. “Leave,” the latest single from Marmalade, is an emotive indie-pop track rooted in acoustic guitar playing and Phoebe’s candid vocal style.
“It’s about a time in my life where I felt kinda paralysed,” Phoebe said of “Leave.” “It’s a bit wry and double-edged, but in a way, this song is also an apology.”

Marmalade is out on May 17 via AWAL. Phoebe Go is supporting Teenage Dads on their national tour this August-September.
