Now or Never brings four nights of dance music and experimental electronics to Melbourne Town Hall at the end of August. DJ Python, DJ Plead b2b rRoxymore and Yarra will play at the venue on Friday 29 August.

DJ Python’s deep dembow is the perfect soundtrack for practicing the second syllable in the infinitive verbs “bailar” and “llorar.” His DJ sets tend to include some pretty batshit syncopation.

DJ Plead and rRoxymore are, for my money, two of the most interesting dance music producers around. DJ Plead makes layered, percussive techno with a dash of Lebanese rhythm, while rRoxymore has excelled at 2-step, downtempo, and abstract new age. Together, their work is detailed and spontaneous; challenging without sacrificing its danceability.

Yarra is a Naarm-based DJ with a fondness for all things minimal – think deep house, minimal techno, dubby downtempo, and Rominimal.
