Win a double pass to First Frequency feat. RONA., DJ PGZ + more

First Frequency is a Blackfulla dance party at Melbourne Town Hall on Saturday 7 June. Part of this year’s RISING: Melbourne program, the event will feature DJ sets from Kaytetye artist RONA. and Gunai/Kurnai and Yorta Yorta artist DJ PGZ, plus a cinematic live show from Nyikina artist Kalaji (aka Mark Coles Smith) and a spoken-word piece from Brother Nelson.

RONA.’s set will be suffused with the sounds and rhythms of her home in the central desert, while DJ PGZ will bring it home with a rave-inspired set full of deep grooves, heavy percussion and moments of cathartic release. There’ll be immersive 3D visuals throughout.

In the festival’s own words, First Frequency “represents the original sound connected to First Nations people, one that has always been here, and always will.”

To win a double pass to First Frequency, tell us your favourite local DJ or dance music producer.
