Becca Hatch is a Y2K video game character in the video for her new single “Think of You.” You can watch the animated video from director Kyla Bosq below.
“Think of You” is the Sydney-based, Kamilaroi Samoan artist’s second single of 2024, following the D’n’B-inspired “Bass Keeps Calling.” “Think of You” was influenced by the kick drum-happy, high BPM sound of Jersey club. The track is laced with a techie giddiness gleaned from hyperpop. Becca worked on the track with producers Lucy Blomkamp and Tentendo.
The lyrics focus on the inescapability of a past relationship, despite the narrator’s better intentions. “I try to get you off my mind,” Becca sings, “but when I’m in the club, I seem to always think of you.”
